Professor Salman Rawaf is Chair of Public Health and Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Public Health Education and Training at Imperial College London — one of the world's leading institutions, ranked 2nd globally in 2026. His career in the NHS spanned 26 years as an executive, including Director of Public Health for South-West London (Wandsworth, Merton, and Sutton).

He has served as a WHO adviser on primary care, health systems, medical education, and human resource development — working with governments across the Gulf (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar), MENA (Iraq, Libya, Palestine, Yemen, Tunisia), and beyond (Brazil, Malaysia, Poland, Uzbekistan). He has been a central figure in COVID-19 response advisory committees and served on the WHO HRH Leadership Hub.

Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Public Health Medicine, with over 600 publications and citations exceeding 180,000. Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians London, Fellow of the UK Faculty of Public Health, and Honorary Professor at Ghent University, Middlesex University, and King Saud University.

Dr. David Laith Rawaf is a surgeon, researcher, and clinical technologist operating at the frontier of surgical AI and operating room innovation. As Clinical Director and CMO at VitVio, he leads development of computer vision systems for OR workflow optimisation — reducing waste, eliminating variability, and making surgical delivery measurably better.

As Medical Director at Inovus Medical — the UK market leader in surgical training technology — he has been central to developing augmented reality surgical simulators, guiding product development, accreditation, and clinical research. His work in this space has been presented at international conferences including IMSH and the Royal College of Surgeons Future Surgery Show, with published research in the British Journal of Surgery on AR-based surgical training.

He holds active academic and honorary roles across Imperial College London, the World Health Organisation, the Institute for Health Metrics & Evaluation (IHME), Royal College of Surgeons England, the Association for Surgical Education, and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. His clinical and director roles span product development, validation, accreditation, research, and business strategy.

Beyond the OR, David holds director positions on philanthropic and venture capital advisory boards, and co-founder or clinical advisory roles across a range of healthtech and medtech startups. He also serves as a principal at Bridge Partners, a capital placement firm connecting GCC investors to private market opportunities across the UK, US, and Gulf — with offices in Dubai and Riyadh.

Trained in both the UK and US, he brings fluency across the surgeon, hospital executive, and investor perspectives — a rare combination that underpins his effectiveness as both a clinician and strategist.

Dr. Mustafa Rawaf is a board-certified psychiatrist and addiction medicine specialist based in Las Vegas, Nevada. He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year before joining Focus Mental Health Solutions in 2014.

His academic path began with a BSc in Psychobiology at UCLA, followed by a Master of Medical Science at Boston University — where his thesis on racial disparities in hypertension treatment was published in the Journal of the National Medical Association. He earned his medical degree (DO) at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona, California.

As Associate Medical Director at Altea Research, he leads sub-investigator work on clinical trials, contributing to the evidence base in psychiatric pharmacology and treatment-resistant conditions. His clinical practice spans inpatient, emergency, and outpatient settings, with areas of special interest in bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, and consult liaison psychiatry. He is fluent in Spanish and Arabic, with a particular focus on serving under-served communities.
